Pretend City: How to Play All Day While Growing Healthy Kids

Pretend City

Research shows children learn best and develop optimally through meaningful play and hands-on learning experiences. The new Good To Go From Head To Toe initiative offers free classes and events to help parents and caretakers understand child development and connect with children through play.  One of the best ways to see if your children are reaching developmental milestones is to not only watch them play, but participate and connect with your kids.  Therefore, Pretend City Children’s Museum is an ideal place to offer children and families the benefits and services supporting the initiative.

The Initiative:
Good to Go From Head to Toe is a 10-year initiative promoting developmental screenings for young children.  Are regular developmental screenings part of your child’s routine well-check appointments?

The Players:
The Children and Families Commission of Orange County awarded a $3.5 million grant to Pretend City Children’s Museum to support the development and implementation of the initiative in Orange County.
