This is by far my daughter's favorite park. Wish there was more shade, but we compensate by going after 4pm. On sunnier days we opt to go to Florence Joyner Park nearby. As always, we prefer sandy parks to the woodchipped ones.

The "massive covered picnic area"… do you need to reserve somehow or is it first come first serve

I really liked the vibe of this park. The kids were well behaved and the parents actually we aware of their children. It was pleasant place to play.

Thanks! I made the change above. You will find that park information is often not reliable on Mapquest or even Google maps. Many times I enter an address and no park exists in that location. That’s why I already include a MAP link after the address. All you have to do is click on the word MAP. I’ve already done the work for you:) I appreciate these comments so much!
