Nature
Getting Level with the Grass

Simple nature adventures renew my creative spirit. I took the kids to a new playground yesterday. They spent time on the slides and climbing walls. I sat on the grass. I listened to the breeze whoosh through the eucalyptus trees. Looking up, I saw:

The kids found shady spots to dig in the playground sand with their hands and rake with their fingers. When they tired of that activity, we raced across the field and rolled down a grassy hill.  Then we discovered:

They couldn’t contain themselves from balancing across:

Which, of course, ended with dirty:

Did we clean up and leave?

Of course not.

These are the kinds of outdoor play days I share with my kids. Good thing our adventure backpack contains a change of clothes for the ride home.

We went to Turtle Rock Park in Irvine. I’ll put up a real review for you on Friday. It’s been waiting in the queue. Thanks for asking.
