Magnifying nature is a great reason for a simple walk. We love taking walks together as a family. We took lots of them, with my kids joined by their cousins, over the long weekend. Three magnifying glasses for $1 at the Dollar Store distracted the kids from the “walk” and focused all their energies on the natural world around them. Rolie-polie bugs, snails, and varieties of flora and fauna grew in size and texture. My favorite part was watching their increasing awareness of the world around them.
- Don’t spend more than a few dollars on your magnifying glasses – I saw some online for only 10 cents if you buy in bulk. Keep it simple.
- Play Outdoors suggested “Fun kids outdoor activity: walk thru the neighborhood, backyard or park & find something for every color of the rainbow!” They have some cute outdoor exploration toys.

hey that sounds so fun! but another way you can have fun with your kids is to get them a really cool play set that they can play on by themselves. It entertains them for hours! my kids love theirs! Here is one that i recommend:
Cool Swing Set!
Try it out!
FUN post! Magnifying glasses are such a fun way to explore nature — or anything, for that matter. Kids go crazy for them!
