Accessible Playgrounds

Accessible Playground List*:

Courtney’s Sandcastle, San Clemente (on hold as of November 6, 2008)

About Courtney’s Sandcastle from the San Clemente Times, Vol. 3, Issue 45: On Monday, November 10, Thomas [of the Friends of San Clemente Beaches, Parks and Recreation Foundation] and others will present an update to the San Clemente Beaches, Parks and Recreation Commission at a 7 p.m. meeting in the multipurpose room at the San Clemente Senior Center (242 Avenida Del Mar). The group also will introduce Gary Magill, director of community services from the city of Lake Forest, who recently built a similar park in that town. Magill will present a Powerpoint outlining their project. “Our city made a pledge to that little girl, and we’ve got to keep that promise,” said Thomas.

Pittsford Park in Lake Forest will be the next universally accessible park posted on OC Play Parks. This guide will be updated regularly. PLEASE post a comment if you have experiences at these parks.
